Breaks and limits

Breaks, reminders and help lines

Every Level Vane game is free and nothing can be won, yet a session can still run longer than you meant. Here are the 4 tools on the site and where they stop.

Tools on the site

  • Pause. Your logbook has four buttons that stop every game in this browser for 24 hours, 3 days, 7 days or 30 days.
  • While a pause runs, the spin button stays dark and the daily gift of 4,000 coins waits. No button ends it early; the end time is shown in Your logbook.
  • Reminder. After 45 minutes of play in one visit, the game stops and asks whether to carry on. Your logbook lets you choose 30, 45 or 60 minutes, or no reminder.
  • No autoplay. Every spin needs a press of Spin or the space bar; the only spins that run by themselves are respins inside a round of Aurora Fjord or Star Orrery.
  • Clear the log. One button in Your logbook deletes your coins, level and settings from this browser.

Where the tools stop

  • Each browser keeps its own logbook, so Firefox on a desktop and Chrome on a phone do not share a pause.
  • A private window starts a fresh logbook with 25,000 coins, and clearing this site's data in the browser removes a pause.
  • For a block you cannot undo on a whim, device settings and blocking apps can shut out a website for a set time, and GamCare explains how to set them up.

Moments to stop

  • You spin on to get back coins you lost a few minutes ago, even though they are worth £0.
  • The 45-minute reminder keeps coming back in the same evening.
  • Playing here makes you want to try games that take payments, which Level Vane never does.

Help lines in the UK

Coins on Level Vane are worth nothing, but the hours spent are real. If play here, or anywhere money is involved, takes more than you want to give, these services are free and confidential:

  • GamCare: free, confidential support in the UK on 0808 8020 133, open 24 hours.
  • GambleAware: advice and a self-assessment, with links to local services.
  • Samaritans: someone to talk to about anything, on 116 123.

Set a break now

Pauses and the reminder are in Your logbook. A pause starts the moment you confirm it.
